In order for wagers to have action, it is not required for Hockey games to go to full regulation play. After the game has been in play for 55 minutes, it is considered official for wagering purposes.

Hockey bettors can even bet on the third period and those bets include overtime.

When a shootout is required in a game, the winning team will get one goal as the final score no matter how many goals are made during the shootout round.
